The first phase of my Art Portal project was based on on-demand print.
This next phase is based on on-demand manufacturing.
It means that the mayor, the priest and ordinary people can do their own personal designs
in ties, mugs, T-shirts, caps, mouse pads, stamps, posters, postcards...
I have prepared MERCHANDISE products based on my own art works.
70 MERCHANDISE products for New Hedensted , 55 MERCHANDISE products for Aarhus City, 18 MERCHANDISE products for Guggenheim Museum, 7 MERCHANDISE products for Shanghai Chambers of Commerce etc.
So far I have done 1200 MERCHANDISE products.
I found the software I needed in Silicon Valley - where else.
The customer must be able to customize my MERCHANDISE products.
The mayor must be able to decide himself where my motif is placed on his tie.

Today the world renowned Iconograpfer Ilina Filipova from Malta expressed her enthusiasm about my ideas.
And she even has used them on her web site.
Another artist from Phoenix, Arizona intend to use my ideas in teaching illustration and advertising...........

One day I was walking from one sightseeing to another in Beijing. A Chinese boy walked besides me. He was cutting my profile with a scissors. We did not stop - we kept walking - rather quickly. Then the Chinese boy stopped me and he showed me the cut. I was amazed. I of course bought the cut. This motif is inspired by that walk in Beijing. I still don't understand, that the boy could do my silhouette so precise, so quick - walking fast. My visit to Beijing was shortly after the events in Tiananmen Square. I was one of the fist people visiting China after these events.

Danish Prime Minister, who was conducting an official visit to China in February 2004, appointed seven of the most prominent personalities in China within the fields of arts, sport and entertainment as Hans Christian Andersen Ambassadors, whose task will be to promote the wider awareness and appreciation of Hans Christian Andersen in China. Outside the Wild Goose Pagoda in Xian I had this experience of being a foreigner.
Having another cultural background. Meeting people with another cultural background.
Jakob - my youngest son - was 10 years of age. His hear was blond. Crew cut.
I was big. With a red blond bird.
The Chinese crowded around us. Friendly. Smiling. With their bike.
They wanted to touch Jakob.
Exactly at that moment somebody told me what Chinese people
thought about our traveling in China:
"Why don't they stay home and spare the money - and buy a bike.
Or a refrigerator?"
