The first phase of my Art Portal project was based on on-demand print.
This next phase is based on on-demand manufacturing.
It means that the mayor, the priest and ordinary people can do their own personal designs
in ties, mugs, T-shirts, caps, mouse pads, stamps, posters, postcards...
I have prepared MERCHANDISE products based on my own art works.
70 MERCHANDISE products for New Hedensted , 55 MERCHANDISE products for Aarhus City, 18 MERCHANDISE products for Guggenheim Museum, 7 MERCHANDISE products for Shanghai Chambers of Commerce etc.
So far I have done 1200 MERCHANDISE products.
I found the software I needed in Silicon Valley - where else.
The customer must be able to customize my MERCHANDISE products.
The mayor must be able to decide himself where my motif is placed on his tie.

My project is maybe very ambitious. I have difficulties explaining what it is all about.
I wrote an article in WWAR Art News the other day.
As I got not much response I thought: Shit!!!
Shit, now I was again not able to explain.
And I became so sad - so sad.
But.
Yesterday a reader of my article wrote to me from New York: You are a genius.
Today the world renowned Iconograpfer Ilina Filipova from Malta expressed her enthusiasm about my ideas.
And she even has used them on her web site.
Another artist from Phoenix, Arizona intend to use my ideas in teaching illustration and advertising...........

This slide show tells what you can expect from Asbjorn Lonvig's web presence. An overview. The slide show is about Scandinavian artist Asbjorn Lonvig's artistic activities concerning art, design, storytelling, fairy tale writing - presented on the web.

Art exhibition. San Francisco inspired motifs.

I have made the "The San Francisco Exclusive Selection". Here is the slide show. I was there twice. Some of San Francisco's highlights are: Transamerica Corporation pyramid, Chinatown, the world's most fun ways to commute: the cable cars, Union Square with San Francisco's fanciest hotels and boutiques, San Francisco's gaily painted wooden houses - Victorian houses, Golden Gate Bridge, the world's longest suspension bridge, fisherman's wharf with people and entertainment, Pier 39 with Sea lions, Pier 41, Pier 47, Lombard street, Montgomery Street, Greenwich Street, Leidesdorff Street, Washington Square, Embarcadero Street, Ghirardelli Square, Jackson Square, Sydney Walton Square, Alamo Square, Market Street, Embarcadero Plaza, Maritime Plaza, Conservatory of Flowers, The Music Concourse, Twin Peaks, Fort Mason, golden gate park, Ferry Building, City Hall, and last but not least SFMOMA.

I was invited by Noosa Gallery to a review for exhibiting at "10 WORLD ARTIST SHOW" in Noosa Gallery in Queensland, Australia. Inspired from this I made "Noosa Queensland Exclusive Selection". Here is the slide show.

Friends in South East Asia, who love my work because of the extreme simplicity and bright colors, have asked me to make an exclusive selection of eight paintings, supplying five numbered, signed and certified specimens of each motif. Understanding that different cultures have different demands. I thank director Teguh Prasetyo Heruwaluyo, Jakarta, Indonesia and director Torben Cornelius, Denmark for this inspiration. In Asian tradition the extreme simplicity and bright colors has a sense of divinity.

Claudio A. Batista Diaz of Chile and director Torben Cornelius have encouraged me to make a Rapa-Nui Exclusive Selection. On 22 May 2003 we had a fruitful conversation in "Lille Fejringhus" about the island and especially the Rapa-Nui culture, legends and mythology. Thanks to Claudio and Torben. My further studies have been based on Claudio's recommendations and thekeywords derived from our conversation.
